PriceAndBook helps home-service businesses send quotes, take deposits and book jobs. This page explains what information we handle and why.
Who this covers
Businesses that use PriceAndBook (“contractors”) and the customers they send quotes to. For customer information, the contractor decides what to collect and PriceAndBook processes it on their behalf.
What we collect
- Account details: your email, business name, phone, logo and settings.
- Customer details a contractor enters or a customer submits: name, phone, email, address and job details.
- Quote activity: when a quote is viewed, approved or changed, and messages about it.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We store payment status and amounts, never full card numbers.
- Basic technical data such as IP address and browser, used for security and to prevent abuse.
How we use it
- To show quotes, take deposits, book appointments and send the related texts and emails.
- To send follow-up reminders on behalf of the contractor, which stop when the customer replies or opts out.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve it.
We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Text messages
Customers get texts only after agreeing to them. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile numbers and opt-in information are not shared with third parties for marketing.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run parts of PriceAndBook: hosting and database (Supabase), payments (Stripe), text messages (Twilio), email (Resend), error monitoring (Sentry) and, when a contractor uses the AI quote builder, Anthropic to draft the quote. Each processes data only to provide its service.
How long we keep it
As long as the contractor's account is open, or as required for tax and payment records. Contractors can delete customers and quotes, and can ask us to delete their account.
Your choices
Customers can unsubscribe from email using the link in any email and stop texts by replying STOP. To see, correct or delete your information, contact the business that sent your quote or email us.
